Summer Photography and Photoshop Actions

My latest obsession: Photoshop Actions. These little actions give your photos big effects.

I applied a vintage action to these photos. Two great websites I have found with free actions: here and here.

Technical note: I had the hardest time finding correct instructions for loading actions in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 for Windows XP. All instructions claimed I could just load them into the Application Data folder on the hard drive, but even after showing all hidden folders, I couldn’t find that folder. Here is the route I used to load the actions: C:\Documents & Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Photo Creations\Photo Effects.

This weekend: We are heading up to Vail. Alex is competing at the Vail Invitational. She has 2 figure skating events on Sunday. We’re calling it a mini vacation. Thinking about stopping at the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens for some photography.
